Mauricio Pochettino admits he no longer expects Tottenham to sign anyone this month, despite being optimistic just a few days ago.Last week, the Spurs boss confirmed the club were working on some potential incomings to help ease their current injury crisis, however the situation appears to have changed.3

Tottenham often leave their dealings to the last minute, and while some late business remains possible, Pochettino is not getting his hopes up.“You know how we work,” Pochettino said. “In the last minute everything can happen. Of course different players maybe will have the opportunity to leave the club.“We’re going to see. Of course there’s not too much time. “A few days ago I was very optimistic about some options to sign – realistic options to sign – but today no, I’m not optimistic.”The club continue to be linked with Monaco’s Youri Tielemans, while striker Vincent Janssen could leave before Thursday’s 11pm deadine.Pochettino insistshe is part of the decision-making process and it will be a club decision if they do not bring anyone in.3
