Liverpool legend John Barnes has defended Mohamed Salah over the diving controversy that tainted their 4-0 win over Newcastle on Boxing Day.The Reds thumped the Magpies at Anfield to go six points clear at the top of the table.But most of the post-match talk was focused on a penalty incident involving Reds star Salah, who went to ground under minimal contact from Newcastle defender Paul Dummett.2

Im not a fan of that, however that is what the law says.So while I disagree with the law, I dont disagree with what Mo Salah did.In this day and age, if you feel any contract and you go down and its legitimate, then its a penalty.Im not a fan of that law so maybe we have to revisit that law, but at the moment that is what the law says, so it was a penalty.
